As if my car wasn't full enough...

We now have two more children to cart around.....

Snow!!

We have had a lot of snow the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately it has been too cold to really go out and play in it. But I did manage to drag the girls outside for a couple of minutes. It took about 30 minutes to get ready and then we stayed outside for about 5 minutes! As soon as we got outside Sarah took her mittens off, touched the snow and then complained that her hands were cold. You gotta love two year olds!

Mom, when are we going inside?

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Last week Cam turned 30! We celebrated with our two favorite girls and had a wonderful dinner and of course cake! While Cam was at work, Sarah helped me make a sign for him. She kept saying all day, "Daddy's Birthday" and then "Cake?" She is my kind of girl...whenever she hears the word birthday she automatically thinks of cake!

What Daddy is 30????

Sarah sneaking a taste of the cake!

Four Months

Sweet little Abby turned four months on the 4th. She had her 4th month appointment yesterday. She weighed in at 13 lbs 7 oz (25th percentile) and 26 inches (90th). She continues to be a good sleeper and usually only gets up about once a night. She has started to play in her exersaucer and just discovered that she can use her hands to grab things and take them to her mouth! She still believes that the carseat and bottles are some sort of torture devices. (Although recently she has taken 2 bottles without a problem) She loves to kick, dance and of course watch her big sister.

Virginia Beach

A couple weeks ago the girls and I took a trip to Virginia Beach to visit my mom and attend a baby shower for my friend, Christie. Unfortunately the shower was cancelled due to a rare snowstorm in Virginia Beach! The girls and I still had fun visiting with Nana. We went to the aquarium and Sarah enjoyed playing with all of my old toys. Traveling alone with two small children was interesting to say the least. The trip there went fine but the way back was a different story. We flew during naptime which probably wasn't the best choice. Sarah didn't nap at all and so by the time we changing planes in Detroit we were in full meltdown mode. But after a couple of outfit changes for Abby and a 40 minute tantrum from Sarah we were finally home!

While we were there we got to see Jenine, Cam's sister!

My little shy Sarah LOVED the touch tank at the aquarium. She wasn't scared at all and kept trying to take the animals out of the tank...I was sure she would end up with a crab in her pocket.

Nana and Sarah in the snow. You don't see that too often in Virginia Beach.

The picture to the left (girl in yellow dress) is a picture of my mom when she was little. I think Abby looks like her in this picture.

Mozart in Training

Sarah loved to play the piano at my mom's house. Here is a short video of one of her masterpieces:

Panda Girls

I went home to Virginia Beach last week. (More on those travel stories to come...) While I was there, mom and I decided to have a photo shoot with the girls in their panda dresses. We got some pretty funny pictures! I wanted to post all of them but narrowed them down to these 9 :)
The best one of both girls:
Sarah reading her Berenstein Bears books.
Her favorite activity: reading to Abby.

In order to get Sarah to smile, I had to do some pretty crazy stuff. She thought it was pretty funny though. This picture also shows her teeth really well. I don't think I ever posted about it but right before Abigail was born Sarah ran into the coffee table...actually she bit the coffee table! The table has the marks to prove it! She ended up chipping her top right tooth and pushing back the top left tooth. Luckily they are not her permanent teeth and they will eventually fall out! Only 4 more years of some odd looking pictures...it gives her character, right?

This is probably the goofiest picture of Abby I have ever seen! It makes me crack up everytime I look at it.
I think Abby is about done with the pictures.
Abby looking up to her big sister! I love this one too :)
