Best Invention EVER!!

So unfortunately Sarah is still not sleeping through the night. She can be very stubborn and also loves to see her mommy at least 3 times a night! I recently came across the Ocean Wonders Aquarium that attaches to the crib and plays soothing music. The best part about it is it has a REMOTE...so I can turn it on from the door. (If only it would reach her room from my bed...I'm working on that) Well let me tell you this thing is a baby hypnotizing machine! Sarah will just stare and stare at it. The first night it worked like a charm and I was SO excited! But our little Sarah is too smart for it to work like that the second night. When it came on the second night she at first was mesmerized but then remembered what it did to her the last time and started screaming. However...after a couple of minutes the soothing music drew her in again and she was asleep in minutes. While she is still not sleeping through the night, the aquarium helps calm her and I am hoping it is also teaching her to fall asleep on her own without mommy! I'll update you in a couple of weeks to let you know how it is going.

New Friend

Sarah recently had a play date with her new friend Lily! They got to go to the pool together. They chatted up a storm. Mommy also got to hang out with Lily's mommy, Heather. Lily is about 3 months older than Sarah and is already crawling. Sarah was very jealous! Here are some photos from their play date. Dancing

Just this week I have noticed that whenever music is playing, Sarah starts bopping her head and "dancing" to the music. She started doing it in the grocery store this week. She certainly doesn't get her rhythm from her mom or dad so it must be from somewhere else in the family. Here is a video of her starting to dance but then she got distracted by the cat. Almost There!

Sarah is making attempts to learn how to crawl. She can pretty much get on her knees but then doesn't know what to do from there. She usually ends up falling on her face. Last night I caught her trying it out. She was attempting to get the cat!

Wedding

Over fourth of July weekend, we drove down to Montgomery, Al and watched my good friend Charlotte get married. It was a beautiful wedding and the best part was we got to see lots of my favorite people! Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding. Congrats Charlotte and Sean!!

Sarah loves to help me around the house and recently she decided to help me while we did laundry. I'm sure she will just become even more "helpful" as she learns to move more!
