Yep, I did that all by myself!

Since Cam had to go to work the day of the big snowstorm and Sarah took a long nap, I figured I would surprise him and shovel the driveway. Well...it sounded like a good idea but man 12 inches is a lot of snow! But after 1 1/2 hours of hard work I finally finished! I was so proud of myself I had to take a picture. Well today I am rethinking that great idea since I am pretty sore! My back is killing me....oh well at least I have a picture to show off.

Snow Day!

In case you didn't know, Indianapolis got a foot of snow on Tuesday night! For a girl from the beach...that's a lot of snow! However, I don't mind the snow...I think it dates back to when I used to get snow days and not have to go to work. I was so excited to see what Sarah would do in the snow so first thing Wednesday morning we went outside. Now needless to say...it is a lot of hard work to bundle up a one year old but we did it and took the necessary photos and then ran inside to get warm. Snow is COLD! Sarah really didn't know what to do with the snow...I stood her up in it and it almost went up to her waist. She then dropped her paci in the snow. This poised a problem for her since she couldn't use her hands to pick it up because they were bundled up in mittens. So being the resourceful girl that she is she decided to go head first into the snow and pick it up with her mouth! She ended up with snow on her nose and mouth....she didn't think that was very funny. Here are some pictures from the big event:

We slid Sarah around on the trash can lid in the driveway. She didn't think it was very fun....I think by that point she was cold and ready to go inside!

I had to post one more picture of Sarah after she was all ready...she pretty much couldn't move and yes those are plastic bags on her feet! I don't have any boots for her so I figured they would protect her shoes :)

Coupons are for the weak....

Or at least that is what I used to think until I was listening to our favorite financial counselor, Dave Ramsey and he mentioned a website called Coupon Mom. This website is great! I had started to cut out coupons but a lot of times there weren't that many savings because the Kroger brand was usually cheaper than the brand name even with the coupon. But this website changes all that...it correlates when stuff is on sale at your local grocery store with coupons that have been in the Sunday newspaper. I especially like the website because it organizes and correlates everything for you. I can log in and look at the Kroger deals for the week and it will tell me if there have been any coupons lately in the Sunday paper that match the Kroger deals too. The result is mega-savings....in fact there are some items you can get for FREE!

So if you want to save some extra bucks..check out Coupon Mom. It is awesome!

Sand is Delicious

Walking.....well almost...

Sarah is SO close to walking but just hasn't made the full commitment yet. She will take about 4-5 steps but then she falls or just decides to crawl. Although when she has the right motivation she will walk! Mainly towards the cats or any sort of electronic device! In this video I got her to walk a couple of steps towards the camera.

The Beach!

After Christmas my family flew to Marco Island, Florida to spend a week in the sun! There were 14 of us there and we had a great time! The weather was wonderful and as you can see from the pictures we had lots of fun in the sun!

Christmas!

We had a great Christmas in Virginia Beach. Sarah got to see everybody in her family. We had a great time with Cam's family on Christmas Eve and then with my mom on Christmas morning and my dad on Christmas night. What a fun but busy day!

We're Back
