My Girls

Since Sarah just turned two, I thought I would write a little bit about her personality and things she likes to do :) Sarah is definitely a more reserved little girl (gee I wonder where she gets that from!) She is a little timid at first and likes to sit back and take everything in before jumping into a situation. So far she seems to have quite the little engineer brain! She loves to take things apart and see how to put them together. Most recently we love puzzles. She is also obsessed with buckling things.....the other day when we were in a consignment store she went down the aisle of strollers and made sure every single one was buckled. Safety first! Her favorite show in the world is WordWorld on PBS. She is mesmorized by it...which definitely comes in handy when I am feeding Abby. She is a VERY picky eater except when it comes to cheese, milk and anything with tomato sauce. Just this week she started talking in multi-word sentences. Her longest sentence so far has been "Abby go please." (She wanted Abby to go down the slide..I think...maybe she just wanted her to go away :) ) Here is a picture of Sarah on her birthday enjoying the doctor's kit that she got.

And because I don't want Abby to already have a complex about being the second child I will write a little bit about what we have learned about her the past 8 weeks! She has just started smiling and does it most often while getting her diaper changed. Abby is a very different baby than Sarah was...Abby does not like to sleep during the day but usually does a 4-5 hour stretch of sleep at night. Sarah was the exact opposite...she could sleep during the day but was up at least three times during the night. Abby likes to scream between the hours of 7pm-12. She is getting better but man when she is not happy she lets you know it!! She came into the world screaming and it doesn't seem like she intends to stop anytime soon. It is still too early to really see her real personality but I am excited to watch her grow. Here is a picture of one of her sweet little smiles...it makes the screaming worth it.
