Dad's trip to Sam's Club

This is what happens when dad goes to Sam's club for diapers and wipes:

A big container of CHEESE BALLS! As you can see Sarah thinks they are pretty cool....we now have to hide the container for her!

Another Big Bump

I found this picture in a Berenstain Bear book and pretty much think this is how Sarah feels these days!

Especially since she has started to ask to sit next to me in the rocking chair instead of on my lap! Should I take that as a hint??

Big Bump

A couple of weeks ago, Sarah fell into the coffee table and got a big bump on her forehead. Sarah cried for a couple of minutes but then was just fine. Here is the resulting bump:

I suppose we have been lucky that this is Sarah's first major bump. I'm sure there are more to come but this one was enough for me!

Slide

We went to the Children's Museum with the Harberts a couple of weeks ago and Sarah pretty much spent the whole time on the slide. She LOVES slides!!

Duck Update

Well our little duck friend, affectionately named "Joan" by my friend Kit, had her babies about two weeks ago! I went out one morning and saw two little ducklings peeking out from underneath her. I took some pictures but then ran to the store thinking I had a few more hours before they walked to the pond. Well I came back an hour later and they were GONE! We quickly ran to the pond and saw them as they entered the water. Mama Duck in front and six little babies right behind her. We saw them take one loop around the pond and then get out on the other side. We haven't seen them since. There were still two unhatched eggs in the nest that never hatched. I guess she knew they were bad eggs. To celebrate Jenine and I made a duck cake :)

Trucks!

Sarah loves to watch the trucks outside of our house and by far her favorite is the concrete truck. They just started a new house down the street and the concrete trucks were lined up outside of our house to pour the basement. Sarah pulled up a chair and sat by the window to watch them! She even got out her toy concrete truck to join her :)
